From Amsterdam With Love

I started the year right by having a 4-day city break in Amsterdam, Netherlands where I had never been before. It was a last minute decision with my boyfriend so we jumped on the idea. And it was a great one. So we got our deal booked (flights + bed & breakfast). Amsterdam is only 45 minutes (!) from London so no complaint about that either. Our choice was the 4 star Hotel V Fizeaustraat that turned out to be lovely. From the airport we took an Uber that wasn't really far off from the hotel. When we got there we got checked in - the staff was so friendly. I really liked our room too and the whole style of the hotel. The Dutch style is cool, I like how modern but classic everything is.

I took the pictures using my new Canon G7X Mark II for the first time - love it!

Well, it was bloody freezing in Amsterdam with arctic winds blowing (although not much different from London). Every day we went for a city stroll. Oh, and almost everyone cycles which is a good thing but actually annoying because they're all ready to hit you and run you over - cyclists are quite dangerous there, psychos.

Besides trying out pancakes, we checked out a few museums. The Van Gogh Museum is quite well-known - I do love Van Gogh's work, he was an interesting and talented person (and also a bit of a nutso).

Let's not forget the amazing food the Dutch has to offer - and in this hotel the food was excellent (especially the breakfast!). The cheeseballs, mmm... and the pancakes... I am a foodie. Thanks Gaia, I love you, I really do appreciate it.

And lastly, here is Murmur who I tried to make friends with, but she couldn't care less about it and just wanted to sleep (I was stroking her and then she turned around all upset and went back to sleep). When I wrote the review for the hotel they actually asked if we bumped into the cat that hangs around the lounge. They also asked for a name suggestion and I put Murmur, don't know why. So here's Murmur.

We did have a great time in Amsterdam. I would definitely come back here, I will. After this trip I decided I am going to make mini city breaks in the whole of Europe where I haven't been yet. Travelling is also one of my passions.

To be continued...

Love it.
Amsterdam can be funky yes and amazing in manny artistic ways.
It is one of the city's of the old silk road.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silk_Road
Becouse Dutch where famus in the past about the way we could navigate the waters (and we are a water-country whit all the water-walls.).
And gave inspiration to some American City's who stil are here today.

Becouse of the old traiding-routes via the oceans, a lot was brought over to other parts of the world.
And the new discoverd world (America and Africa back then).

We stil have oure nutcases like manny humans on a bike.
They are almost of a special delicate thing on the road, but bikes is one of the things that make Holland uniek.
Amsterdam have some great inspiration fore the model-world.
